Description: The file folder has reached new heights in mixed media art. Learn to make a tall book from creatively using several file folders as the foundation for your book surface. Laura will share with you a variety of ways to explore using these versatile file folders in your art. . Backgrounds will be colored using multiple layers of paint, gesso, and stencils. Then the fun begins! We will do pockets, folds, flips, and tip-ins, and hidden places for messages. Bring any notes, postcards, tickets, quotes, (I included a few ATC’s), and other items you have saved for just this book. You could also choose a theme or make it as a gift for a special person. We will sew it altogether with a basic pamphlet stitch.
