Description:

Create your own one of a kind altered book. Take a book and cut, tear, burn, glue, collage, paint, and embellish…any method that transforms it into a work of art. You may want to focus on a theme for your book: something seasonal, family and friends, adopted ancestors, favorite quotes, garden, travel, reflections or thoughts, the beach, someone special…the sky is the limit! We will begin by removing some pages, cutting or tearing others, and learning to make folds, pockets, and pop-ups. We will learn how to make windows, collage, and color pages to create a special book. A variety of materials will be provided by the instructor to include, paints, napkins, rubber stamps, brads, punches, ribbon and lace, and a variety of papers. Come for the instruction, become inspired, and begin to create a multi-dimensional book that expresses your creativity.
