SHINE: Sun and Moon Painting Workshop
Sun and Moon Painting Workshop
Date: Saturday, September 5th
Where: This workshop will be held in the original Queen’s Ink store location so we can spread out and have lots of room
Bring your own lunch and beverages.
Join Dee Gray as she guides you through a fun day of painting a whimsical sun and moon. You’ll learn techniques of painting a gradient background along with design, texture and composition to create your own unique vision of these heavenly bodies.
We’ll also expand your artistic universe by revealing “tricks of the trade” to develop your drawing skills using a very simple approach to illustrating facial features. By day’s end you’ll leave with two complete pieces of artwork that are ready to hang.
Please bring a full spectrum of your acrylic paints and brushes to complete these celestial creations! Two 5”x5” panels will be provided.
STUDENTS TO BRING:
– A full spectrum of your acrylic paints and brushes
– 12” ruler
– Pencil and eraser
– Paper towels/paint rag and water jar
Note: We will be practicing social distancing protocol. Please wear a mask and bring your sanitizer. You may request an area by yourself or to sit at the same table of a family member or close friend that you know has been practicing all safety measures. No more than two students at a table, one at each end. Since the old store is wide open there will be lots of room. Bring your own lunch and beverages.
