Art Escapade - La Casade, France - May 17th-24th, 2024
Our next Art Escapade will be in the south of France!
Dates: May 17- May 24, 2024
The French are masters when it comes to experiencing and enjoying pleasure. They even have a saying “Joie de Vivre” – The exuberant enjoyment of life. So join us and experience the good life of clean spring-fed water, local produce grown on farms in nearby villages used to cook simple and exquisitely flavorful meals. Fruits and vegetables so ripe and in season the colors and tastes
literally burst with freshness. Sunshine, clean air, working to live rather than living to work, a strong sense of community that are all embedded into French country life.
Throughout the week, we’ll experience the world in an entirely new way – a way that’s naturally seeped into daily life in the medieval village of Durfort. During our soul filling journey together you will enjoy an AHmazing workshop with Patti Euler and Jen Cushman. The studio is an intimate classroom setting with no more than nine students, Included in the retreat will be four absolutely delightful excursions to inspire you. Feast on mouthwatering fresh, home cooked daily meals by an artisan French chef and the tastes of small batch local wines every evening
with dinner.
Home base for our adventure together is a lovely 400-year-old stone house. The second you step foot in La Cascade you’ll feel the peaceful energy and creative zest of this retreat home that’s lovingly cared for so many people over the centuries. Wait until you walk outside and see the natural rushing cascade and river that runs directly behind the house (literally named the cascade
house), down the village and into the River Sor. You will feel as though you’ve stepped foot into a French film.
