A Queen’s Ink Mixed Media Retreat With Patti Euler and Seth Apter
Date: November 1-3, 2024
Location: Maritime Conference Center
Cost: $575
About the retreat:
Our two and a half days will be spent creating a unique, interactive assemblage that can hang on the wall. The wooden substrate will be provided and is designed exclusively for this event. Seth and Patti will be co-teaching and have collaborated on this assemblage project so you can expect some grungy, blingy mixed media mischief! Surface design will be Seth’s focus and he will be sharing and demonstrating painting, stenciling, stamping and collage techniques for the overall project. Patti will bring in the 3D elements using Paper clay, some bling, and rusty bits, and a demo using Claybord elements to add the final touches. A complete student supply list will be provided July 1, 2024
The beauty of this workshop is that we will be sharing techniques and guidance yet allowing participants to make each niche/cabinet personal and meaningful in their own way. For two and a half day, Seth and I will be available to help you explore multiple techniques, answer design and application questions, and finally adding embellishments and finishing touches. We are excited about this event and can’t wait to see you there. The added bonus, Anna White will be joining us to share her expertise in composition and structure.
