"Housing Project" with Laura Hummel - Thursday, March 11th
Instructor: Laura Hummel
Date: Thursday, March 11th, 2021
Time: 1:00pm – 6:00pm
Let’s make some wonky houses! They can be everyday houses or upgrade and deck them out to make them Christmas versions. We will alter a few scrapbook papers or fabrics to get the colors and textures for the design of your houses. We will work on two canvases at the same time and build our Housing Project with using the skills and different techniques that Laura will share with you throughout the workshop. You can paint, collage, cut, tear, and glue to create your structures. Finishing touches could include: vintage papers, lace or other trims, charms or doodads or perhaps a watch, words, quotes, numbers, letters…just imagine! We will resin one piece in class, so bring a box to carry it home or leave it overnight to dry. You might want to bring some of your own special or favorite embellishments to decorate your village and Laura will also bring plenty to share.
