Description: Many artists find that getting started using a new journal can be a little overwhelming. When you first open it and stare at those blank clean white pages, the question becomes… what to do and how to start. This easy and fun book making workshop will answer the question for you. First, you will learn how to deconstruct an old book that we will repurpose and recover with beautiful handmade papers. This will be our new cover for the pages will be creating. Next, is paper play where we will explore lots of techniques using a variety of paints, inks, sprays, and stencils to color your pages. You will make enough paper for two 12-page signatures. The final step is binding your pages with an easy 3-hole pamphlet stitch. This is one project you will definitely want to make again. Makes great gifts.
