The Class You Need
Instructor: Anna M. White
Date: Friday, March 18th, 2022
Time: 1:30pm - 4:30pm
The name of this class was certainly designed to grab your attention, but it is something that I truly believe applies. Studying and understanding color is really a lifelong pursuit. What we create in the class is really just a starting point, because this class is not about the end product as much as starting to really gain understanding about how color works.
Color fills the world around us; it pushes and pulls us without us even thinking about it, and it is often misunderstood. This class has been developed as an introduction to color theory, paint mixing, and blending techniques. We will be discussing fundamental elements of color and how to apply them to your artwork, and I will give you your own color wheel which is a great tool to have in your kit. The skills and knowledge that you will learn in this class will have applications across all the art you enjoy doing. We be using the new Golden SoFlat Acrylics on three 9”x12” canvas panels to create warm, cool, and neutral backdrops for a stamped image. All the materials needed for the class will be provided, including a large maple leaf ArtFoamie designed for The Queen’s Ink by Anna, which you get to keep!
What you should bring if you are able:
Paint brush with soft bristles. (3/4”+ is recommended) A couple sizes would be nice to have.
